Our Christian Foundation

Confirmation Nation Inc. is a Christian nonprofit. At the heart of our work is confirmation in Christ: making sure all God's children are confirmed through Jesus Christ. Our faith shapes how we serve — with truth, humility, and the conviction that no young person is beyond restoration.

Our Founder

Derick Blakes is the Founder and Executive Director of Confirmation Nation Inc. A father, a professional commercial motorcoach driver in the San Francisco Bay Area, and an author, Derick grew up in foster care, family instability, and homelessness. Learning to build stability as an adult became the foundation for everything Confirmation Nation teaches: obedience, responsibility, and the daily disciplines that make a life last.

  • Principal address: Sacramento, California. Our first program will serve young adults in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our Status — Stated Plainly

Confirmation Nation is a pre-launch nonprofit. Our 14-day employment readiness curriculum is developed, and we are preparing our first pilot crew. We have not yet run a program, confirmed partners, or hired staff. What you read on this site describes what we are building — honestly.
